| PHILIPPE STARCK, 49, and IAN SCHRAGER are on pages 62-3. Schrager is the former co-owner of Studio 54 and is the largest private hotel operator in NYC. Starck, a French designer, is best known for interior design on Schrager's hotels (Schrager relies on Starck for his vision of each project). Spread out over 2 pages, is a building lot for a future hotel. Reminiscent of his appearance in a bathtub in the 10/98 Metropolis magazine, Starck is in a shower stall; on the base, is a copy of an ABSOLUT VISION ad. Rolled up under his arm like blueprints, Schrager has a poster of the ABSOLUT DESIGN ad. |
